BIT VG40

Bitumen VG40 is a type of viscosity-grade bitumen, widely used for road construction and maintenance.

Key Characteristics:

1. Medium-hard grade of viscosity bitumen

2. Suitable for hot climate conditions

3. High durability and resistance to rutting

Applications:

1. Road construction (asphalt paving, overlays)

2. Highway construction

3. Airport runways and taxiways

4. Heavy-duty pavement applications

5. Bitumen emulsions and modified bitumen products

Specifications:

1. Absolute Viscosity at 60°C: 4,000-6,000 Poise

2. Kinematic Viscosity at 135°C: 450-550 CST

3. Flash Point: 250°C

4. Solubility in Trichloroethylene: 99%

5. Penetration Value at 25°C: 30-50 0.1mm

6. Softening Point: 50-60°C

Comparison with other grades:

1. VG30: Softer and less durable than VG40

2. VG10: Significantly softer and more fluid than VG40
